Meet our Dedicated Children’s Academy of Northlake Management Team
Ms. Yesica – Infants Lead Teacher
Yesica is a dedicated and passionate Lead caregiver in our Infant classroom since 2003. She was born and raised in Indonesia and came to the states in 1997. Married to CAON’s Business Director, Antonius Anugerah. They reside in Lilburn, where she and Antonius are the devoted parents of three daughters. Yesica proudly meets all annual required certifications set forth by Bright From The Start, the agency that licenses us and also attended the Quality Assist Challenging Teachers Institute in 2011.
Additionally, she achieved the esteemed CDA credential in May 2012. Thoroughly involved in all aspects of the program, Yesica is an intricate part of our staff. She is actively involved in her church community, serving as a Lector (Scripture Reader at Mass) and as a Sacristan, participates and supports charitable fund-raising efforts.
Ms. Joyce – Toddler 1 Lead Teacher
Joyce has been in Early Childhood Education for five years and loves working with children. She enjoys helping support their development in order to watch them become ready for the challenges of primary education.
She has taken numerous classes to further her education and received her CDA. She does a great job as the Lead Teacher in our Toddler 1 classroom.
Ms. Shereen – Pre K Lead Teacher
Ms. Shereen is a dedicated and passionate caregiver in our Pre-School classroom and possesses her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing but with many years of experience working with children. As an Activity Center Director, Shereen has provided the environment and supervision necessary to ensure smooth operations while caring for children.
Over time, she plans on pursuing her Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA). Her classroom management skills are strong, demeanor gentle and kind and creativity is boundless. We are proud to have Ms. Shereen as part of our Pre-School Teaching Team.
Ms. Tanisea – Preschool Lead Teacher
Ms. Tanisea is excited to bring her experience as a PreK assistant teacher last year, to her new role as lead teacher of the Preschool classroom starting in December 2015. Ms. Tanisea joined CAON in 2014, working alongside our PreK lead. Upon her return from leave in August, Ms. T joined the Toddler II classroom, and now will be providing continuity of care, as she moves up with some of her Toddler II students.
Ms. T holds an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Everest Institute with a specialty in Homeland Security, and is currently pursuing bachelors in Elementary Education.
Ms. Shaniqua “Nikki” Co-Lead Teacher
A popular teacher amongst our school age and PreK students, Ms. Nikki comes to us with a B.S. in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Prior to joining CAON, Ms. Nikki worked with The Boys and Girls Club of Atlanta for five years as a student advisor. Her love of learning is infectious, and Ms. Nikki can often be heard instructing students on new ways to add or putting on a puppet show.
Since joining CAON in June of 2015, Ms. Nikki has been substitute teaching in all of the classrooms and is most recently the afterschool teacher and bus driver. She is excited to have a permanent classroom and working with the three year olds.
Ms. Flo – After-School Lead
Ms. Flo has been working at Children’s Academy of Northlake for six years as the Afternoon After-School Lead Teacher and is employed fulltime as a Pre-K Special Education Inclusion teacher.
She recently received her Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Ed. With her CDA, she is also a CDA advisor and has participated in NAEYC Training. Her passion is working with young children and watching them grow and learn. She enjoys working on arts and crafts and science and literacy projects with the children.
